FIELDWORK EXPERIENCE

Intern Assistant, Pixels Production Studio, March 2019, April 2019

I interned under the owner and photographer Amreen as an assistant. My tasks were to look after small things like creating engaging social media posts and stories, editing raw photos to the preset given to me by the photographer, following her on shoots and act as a PA to assist with any of the process as well as socialize with the clients to provide them with any information needed. I also created a marketing booklet for the studio that was published and used as a physical marketing portfolio.

Marketing Intern, Project Outsiders, July 2023 - November 2023

Project Outsiders is an organisation that focuses on the youth in care in the system and talk about issues in a macro manner to make a difference. In November, they premiered their documentary revolving around the stories of four individuals about their life in the system at TIFF Bell Lightbox. As an intern I created social media content like video trailers and posts after being tasked to do so, and attended monthly meetings to keep the rest of the team updated on the timeline. Besides creating creative materials for their social media page, I was given charge to interact with all the guests at the premiere and guide them to maintain order.

Volunteer, T.O. Webfest, September 16 & 18

Volunteered at the 11th annual T.O. Webfest that premiers short contents and gives creators a platform to display their skills as well as market and connect with people the industry. My role was to keep the event organized and required me to be a team player as well as demanded for me to be attentive to my surroundings. As a volunteer, I, along with my team, represented the organisation and their planning and leadership skills.
